I have always been
influenced by music, and drawn to various styles over the years. It wasn't
until 1989, whilst sojourning in Goa, living the life of a beach boy, that
I felt compelled to pick up the guitar, and thus was born a union, between
my untrained voice and this amazing instrument. Since then I have returned
again and again to India, always with a trusty 6 stringed friend in tow.
During these extended visits, I developed a passion for eastern mysticism,
and yoga; it seemed the most natural thing in the world to write songs
about these personal and uplifting experiences. So the Cds that are
available here have been conceived in India, after residing at various
spiritual sites, Hindu ashrams, holy hills, and places of silence.
Two CDs are a
collaboration with Swami Isa, a wise teacher from Kerala. It is always a
great joy to write a new song, and I sincerely hope that that joy is
translated through these Cds, and that the listener can be transported to
a place of optimism, warmth, truth and to the heart of the song.
