Diligence - My 2026 Word

January can be hard...mid month and resolutions run diluted on the floor of your resolve.

But God...some of the most important words in the Bible...Ephesians 2:4..being rich in MERCY...

Do you realize that every day you open your eyes it means God believes in you - trusts you - is there for you - to be the best you can be?

It's humbling if you think about it. The Creator of all watching you - not with criticism and judgement but as a Father watches his toddler learning how to walk. Cheering them on. Cajoling one more step out of them. Trying to direct them in the safe way...into His arms.

God does this for us everyday.

I know it's hard to imagine...especially if you did not have a positive, supportive father figure in your life. But that is who God is.

He doesn't hold your failures against you...wagging them in your face to shame you. He sends a great cloud of witnesses and angelic beings to cheer you on!

Every small win is celebrated in the heavens. Don't give up...keep marching. Endure. Carry on. Be DILIGENT.

We don't need to wait for next New Year's to start again...or Monday...or even tomorrow.

Lamentations 3:22-23a "The Lord's acts of MERCY indeed do not end, for His COMPASSIONS do not fail. They are new EVERY MORNING."

Funny thing about the morning; it is defined with sun rise. But if you think about it the sun is always rsing somewhere on Earth at every second of every day. So don't wait to try again. Take a breath. Thank God. Take another step toward your best.
