I've Only Just Begun

100 Days. I did it.

Guided by Gene Edwards book, 100 Days in the Secret Place, I've revisited the journal I kept ten years ago, and blogged for 100 Days in a row.

I'm not sure I've ever completed a 100 day streak before. I'm in new territory.

Guyon's last lesson is very simple.

"There is born within you an internal conversation with God."

She has laid out the pathway to discover this over and over:

1. Turn inward

2. Worship

3. Wait

4. Receive

From this well, we overcome the pull of our lesser earth bound self, and we discover the freedom of the spirit, to be what we were created to be: eternal pure souls, children of God.

No matter your take on God, this well is in you. You are a spirit being experiencing life in an earth suit.

If the word God, or the name Jesus, or Christ, brings up negative experiences and feelings, try another word. Maybe Other, or Creator, or whatever you find is removed far enough away from the negative. But take the time to look inward and find peace.

I leave this journey with my entry from ten years ago.

faithfulness

self-control

and gentleness

is mine

in Christ
