Joy as a Cement

The only way to create a mosaic is to employ broken pieces.

Being broken is never a 'feel good' moment...not physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually. And all do have a breaking point.

And it doesn't matter how the breaking happens...self-inflicted, life, evil men, family - natural or Church - or even from God.

I know it's a mind bender to think of God breaking us - and I don't want to believe this but then I read Psalm 51:8 and 17

Make me to hear joy and gladness,
Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
A broken and a contrite heart,
O God, You will not despise.

I will trust my Lord - who was broken for me - that He indeed does work all things together for good. (Rom 8:28)

So He has my broken pieces in His scarred hands and I have the cement to hold them in place as He creates something beautiful from them: Joy

Not happiness - self created. Not acceptance - as a victim. JOY - the fruit of the Holy Spirit. (Gal 5:22)

A gift from the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8:110 - the Holy Spirit - that was given to me as a pledge. (2 Corinthians 5:5)

So how do I go from brokenness to Joy? By walking the dark path of faith. Faith that God is good and His love endures forever. Over every situation and to every generation, He is good.

And by forgiving - yourself, the fallen world, evil men, family - both natural and the Church.

Release your right for vengence, and even for justice.

Trust God with your pieces and ask Holy Spirit to fill you with Joy - the cement that holds your broken pieces in place as God creates a beautiful mosaic from your life.
