Light and Love

God's light is all consuming. So is His love. We need both in equal portions.
Exposed to the light of God, weakness of character, sin, compromise, and self are dealt with.
Not in judgement; in love.
His mercy reveals only what we can courageously deal with. His grace is where we live in the new found freedom. As we grow in grace, with ourselves and others, He is then free to reveal more.
It's amazing to think that before we knew Him, or even recognized our need, Christ died for us. His love is proactive.
God's light is not only for the purpose of revealing weaknesses, but also as revelation into the Kingdom.
Exposed to the light of God, our position (as His much-loved child), our purity (His righteousness) and our purpose (co-labourers in the Kingdom) are also revealed.
His love is the seal on our soul.
And, just as He reveals grace by grace, our weaknesses, so He reveals, layer by layer Himself to our spirit.
We can barely imagine the plans, works, influence and purpose we are invited into with Christ.
Daily connect; with His light and with His love.
