"Give yourself to God so that He may do in your heart what you have so long failed to do." Guyon

The Lord's Prayer, found in Matthew 6:9-13, is regarded by some as the perfect prayer. Guyon teaches her readers to meditate on each individual phrase. She encourages us to wait, listen, and then move to the next phrase.

"Thy Kingdom come," is an invitation for God to rule over your whole life; decisions, desires, and direction.

"Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven," leads us to ask God, "What is Your will?"

This can become complicated quickly if we think we need to hear God's voice for every little decision we make. We don't. He gave us common sense, laws of the land, leaders, and a free will. However, have you ever boiled the question down to what does God desire?

"His will is that His children love Him. Therefore, when you pray, 'Lord, Your will be done,' you are actually asking the Lord to allow you to love Him. So begin to love Him!"

What if your love for God superseded every aspect of your life?

Surely then His Kingdom would come.

Your will be done on earth

I am on earth

Your will be done in me

I am made of earth

Your will be done through me

As it is in Heaven

I am in Christ

Christ is in me

Seated at the right hand

of the Father

I am in Heaven

I am in Christ

Christ is in me

Heaven is on earth

Heaven is in earth

I yield!

I yield my will!

I yield my body, my mind,

my emotions, my time,

my resources, my all!

Thy will be done in me.
