"Speculation and Introspection, both of these are so distracting, especially during periods of failure." Molinos

The way to the inward life is a faith walk. One of the hallmarks of faith is walking blind. It's not faith if you know the outcome. It's not faith if you can see the next step in high definition four dimensional computer graphic clarity. Faith is hanging on to a ladder in the dark and reaching for the next rung.

Faith is often accompanied by confusion, doubt and failure.

It's imperative to stop, breath in God, rest and then try again. It is not necessary to analyze, actuate or acquire a full understanding of the confusion, doubt or failure.

A wandering imagination leads to speculation and too much reasoning brings unhealthy introspection.

So what kind of specs do we need?

We need the full spectrum of God.

According to Merriam-Webster a spectrum "is a continuum of color formed when a beam of white light is dispersed (as by passage through a prism) so that its component wavelengths are arranged in order".

God is light. As we allow Him to live in and through us, the light for the moment we need will shine. It's not always bright white. Sometimes it's red, blue, green, or violet.

We will never have the complete understanding of God or His ways. If we did would He still be God? Instead let us continue to lean in, listen, and love, by faith.
