The Door to Nothingness

"Without thinking about how much you have lost, come to the Lord, humbled, quiet, and totally surrendered. Find a door. Enter into your nothingness and His all." Molinos
There's a reason Jesus described the way to Life as going through a narrow gate. Humility is skinny.
We dream of pearly gates, streets of gold, and dancing for Jesus around a glorious throne. But, here, on earth, knees crawling through narrow passages lead to His Presence.
There isn't room for backpacks of complaint, or satchels filled with victimology. The fat of self-focus must be shed. Only the bareness, just the spirit, can come all the way. And the spirit is only alive because of His breath.
When the spirit is freed from constant attention to flesh, it sings the purest song.
Not words, Jesus
You need not those
You are the Word of Life
Not deeds, God
You need not those
You provide for all creation
The trusting heart of a child
Makes You smile
A quiet mind at rest
Is best
