The Magnetic Pull of God's Love

"Under the powerful attraction of God's magnetic pull, your soul sinks deeper into love." Guyon

When we establish the habit of turning inward, to God's abiding place, deep in our spirit, all outer religious activity becomes stale to the tongue.

Christ's last words, "It is finished," ring out not as a statement of defeat, not even as a statement of surrender, rather it is the ultimate victorious decree.

And the evidence of his victory? Not his yet-to-come resurrection. The evidence is the complete destruction of the barrier between the His presence and the people.

"Jesus passionately cried out with a loud voice and breathed his last. At that moment the veil, in the Holy of Holies, was torn in two from the top to the bottom." Mark 15:38 TPT

At Jesus birth, before one drop of blood was shed in our favour, God declared His favour on man.

At Jesus death, before He tore the keys of death and hell from Satan's craggy fingers, God declared His availability to man.

“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis." Matthew 11:28 TPT

The footnote on the word 'come' states: Many times Jesus said, “Come after (follow) me,” but only here does he say, “Come to me.” TPT The invitation is open. There is no barrier between my outward desert life and the inward oasis.

It's my decision to come. It's my decision to drop the burden. It's my decision to get out of the desert of the outward life and find the inner oasis. It's Jesus.

"And all who come to me, I will embrace and will never turn them away. " John 6:37 TPT

The word 'come' used here can more accurately be translated 'to be present'.

How can I be 'present' with Jesus? Turn inward to where He is and just be. Be embraced. Be refreshed. Be a much-loved child.

I Turn

Sweetly sinking

Into Your arms

Sweetly sinking

Into Your heart

I trust You, Lord

Lover of my life

I turn to You

and wait

You are all

Every syllable

of life

You are all

Every darkness

turns to light

I can fall

Safely into You

Jesus, Saviour

Oasis for my soul
