"Withdraw into the inward parts, relinquish everything into the hands of God." Molinos

Inside, outside, upside down. This is the Kingdom of our God.

Jesus entered a world whose idea of pleasing God centred on rules, regulations, and busyness. Outward work.

And He disrupted it all. He broke the rules. He touched the untouchable. He honoured women as equals. He included foreigners as followers.

And then He declared, "The Kingdom of God is within you."

So we find ourselves back at the Garden of Eden.

Do we chose the Tree of Life or the Tree of Knowledge?

Do we cultivate the external; subjecting our selves to rules, regulations and busyness for God?

Or, do we cultivate the internal; finding God within and allowing Him to do the internal work we are incapable of doing?

Do you delight talking about God, or to God?

Do you take pain to craft your prayers word for word, or do you tell Jesus exactly how you feel without fear?

Do you believe God abides close to you, or in you?

"Those who seek the Lord externally always have to do something...but whatever external efforts we employ to know God, these will produce little to nothing."

But what of the Inward Way?

"The inward way is a centering of the whole being in a loving manner in the Divine Presence...resting only in communion of the heart."

I was not created a human doing. I was created a human being. If I only pursue God and His acceptance, or presence, by what I do I will never catch Him. I will never be caught by Him. I don't want to be found fussing and fuming when I could be with Him.

I press in, into the inner way. The Kingdom of God is within. The King is there waiting. Only by ceasing from striving will I be still enough to hear.

Draw me in.

Draw me into You.

Into the chambers of Your heart.

Into communion of Heart.

Draw me in.
